Shipping & Returns

Payment by Credit or Debit Card:  We accept all major credit and debit cards.

Payment by Money Orders and Checks:  We also accept money orders and personal checks.  You may place a check order by going through our website and placing what you want in the shopping cart.  When you get to the payment page, simply select the Check/Money Order button instead of the credit card option.  A copy of the order will be emailed to you, together with the mailing address.  As soon as we receive your payment by mail, your order will be shipped. 

Payment through Paypal:

  • Reserve your items by sending an email to gifts@theturtletrail.com. Please be sure to include the following:
    • Name
    • Address
    • City
    • State
    • Zip Code
    • Phone Number
    • A list of the items you wish to order
    • We will confirm your order and the total amount. You may then send payment to us via your Paypal account. Our Paypal address is gifts@theturtletrail.com.
    • We can also send you a Paypal invoice if you prefer.

Shipping Fees

The shipping fee within the 48 contiguous US states is one FLAT RATE for any number of items - $11.95. We offer FREE shipping on orders over $139 to the Contiguous US with coupon code FREESHIP.

We also ship to US Military Addresses for a flat shipping rate of $12.95.  We ship any size order for this same fee.

When ordering, please provide both your street address and if it is different, your postal address as well.

For Alaska, Hawaii, and the US Territories, our base rate is $12.95. Note: For extra heavy orders to Alaska, Hawaii, and the US Territories, we may be unable to ship for our flat rate and if so, we will notify you and ask if you wish to cover the actual cost..

For Canadian orders the basic fee is $16.99. For unusually large Canadian orders, we may e-mail you and ask you to add to your shipping costs so that the actual shipping charges are covered.

For International Orders the basic fee is $23.99. This is NOT a flat rate.  This rate covers an order weighing up to approximately 2 or 3 pounds to most countries. The order must also be small enough in size to go as a Small Airmail Parcel in a box that is not larger than 8 in x 8 in x 12 in.
PLEASE NOTE: Because International rates for various countries differ, if you place an order that is larger than this, we will e-mail you with approximate costs. Once we have your permission, we will charge the extra costs. Please realize that unfortunately we can not ship huge orders all over the world for $23.99.

Other Ordering and Return Information

Shipping/Handling: Most U.S. orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days) with Delivery Confirmation. We use UPS occasionally for larger or heavy orders. We determine how we ship based on the zone where you are as well as the size and weight of your order. When you order, please include both your house number and street address and a PO Box, Apartment or Suite number, etc.

Sales Tax: Internet sales are not taxed except in the state where we reside.  Orders within Pennsylvania will be subject to 6% state sales tax.

Returns: All returns must be pre-approved. A Return Merchandise Authorization Number is required for all exchanges or returns.
Before returning anything, you MUST contact us by email and include your order number. We will then issue you a RMA number. Please do NOT return something without contacting us first and without that number. All requests must be made within 7 days of receipt of a package. All approved returns must be sent back within 7 days of receiving approval. 
Our system is not set up to recognize, accept, or credit returned packages without a prior request by e-mail from you and an RMA number. We are not responsible for packages returned without contacting us first by email to gifts@theturtletrail.com. We will acknowledge all email requests promptly. After an order has been shipped, we cannot refund shipping and handling costs or return postage. Should we make an error in shipping, we will of course make good on our error at no cost to you.

Shipping Damage: We pack with extreme care and rarely have shipping damage. If you should receive something damaged, please report it to us immediately or within 7 days by email, including your order number. Please retain all packaging material in case the carrier might wish to inspect it.
